Robert Hagopian, P.E. the principal of Hagopian Engineering has over 30 years of engineering experience with water and wastewater systems. Prior to establishing Hagopian Engineering in 2002, he was employed as an engineer with the Ulster County Health Department for over 12 years. During that time, he has also gained engineering experience with residential subdivisions, stormwater management and soil erosion and sediment control designs.  In addition, he completed and administered the NYSDEC contracted work for the Department.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics from SUNY Binghamton and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University.

His experience as an instructor for both the Water Treatment Plant and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators Courses held at SUNY New Paltz provides him additional insight with these systems.
